![]() ![]() I get a build message: Duplicate resources when I attempt to build the project. 1 cyb3rcolby Asks: 'Duplicate Resources' after trying to change app's icon In android studio I right click and choose to create a new Image Asset, and it pops up the UI for that, i choose to just overwrite the iclauncher by leaving that as the name, and uploading my png file. Next steps would be to build the application to apply the new changes in terms of the icons. Step 4- After placing the image in the mipmap folder. ![]() ![]() You can just simply copy and paste the image in mipmap folder. Step 2- Further follow the path to reach the desired folder to add icon ( app -> res-> mipmap ). That’s why it spits out the error shown above. Step 1- Open your application in Android Studio. When the compiler merges the library and application resources together, it finds two iclauncher.png files. That’s great, except that we already have one of those in our app. Being the default icon, it naturally has the default name of iclauncher.png. It’s this the little Android guy that you see when you first build your app.
